Nottingham-headquartered Managed IT and Cyber Security Services Provider, Littlefish – which also has offices in London and Sheffield – has announced that Bowmark Capital, a leading private equity investment firm specialising in growth companies, has entered into an agreement to make a significant investment in the company.
Bowmark’s investment will back the existing management team’s plans to enter the company’s next phase of growth, enabling Littlefish to increase headcount by at least 150 employees over the coming 12 months.
CEO of Littlefish, Steve Robinson, says:
“The business has been on a significant growth journey over the last 12 years, which has been achieved almost entirely organically. While we anticipate continuing our organic trajectory, we’re also keen to invest in broadening our portfolio, particularly in the fields of DevOps, digital transformation, and data management. We are delighted to be partnering with Bowmark. Our management team have all been impressed with the market knowledge and commitment of their team and fully expect that joining forces will enable us to achieve our collective goals.
“I would also like to highlight the fantastic support we received from the Browne Jacobson team. The commercial advice and support we received from them when they advised us on LDC’s original investment back in 2019 was of the highest quality. Their market knowledge is engrained and impressive, and we knew they were absolutely the right choice in assisting us again with the Bowmark deal.”
Marking almost thirteen years since Littlefish was taken under new management, the company has grown exponentially year on year ever since and has previously received private equity backing from LDC back in 2019.
Today, Littlefish deliver managed IT and Cyber Security to 80,000+ users globally, and to a variety of organisations both in the private and public sectors
Commenting on the deal, Simon Kaufman, Investment Director at Bowmark says:
“Littlefish’s impressive performance is a testament to a differentiated service delivery strategy that means the business can win and deliver on contracts usually reserved for the large global outsourcers. Its customer-centric services combined with a talented local employee base has delivered strong organic growth. We are delighted to be partnering with the Littlefish team in the next stage of the company’s development.”
