Nottingham headquartered global Managed IT Services Provider Littlefish won the ‘Commitment to People Development Award’ at the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce’s Nottinghamshire Business Awards last week.
The award recognises Littlefish’s #PeopleMatter ethos of putting its people first and offering them unrivalled professional development and career progression opportunities, ensuring they are highly engaged, skilled and motivated to deliver exceptional user experience to its customers – a key factor in driving its impressive recent performance and central to its ambitious growth plans.
Category judges Futures Housing Group recognised a number of standout examples defining Littlefish’s commitment to people development, among them the Littlefish Academy, Littlefish’s in-house training scheme, which offers a range of career-specific learning tracks that allow employees to achieve the latest industry-recognised accreditations and increase their salaries by <£4,500 in the process. Recognising the importance of lifelong learning, all Littlefish employees also have access to many thousands of courses through our learning partner programs.
Meanwhile, Littlefish’s appointment of a business psychologist as Head of Talent, has seen the introduction of a Leadership Development Programme, which goes hand in hand with the company’s Extended Leadership Team – combining leadership training with active, hands on leadership experience, to prepare the company’s leaders of tomorrow.
Collecting the award on the night were Service Desk Team Leaders Daniela Norkus (centre right), and Jason Woodhouse (centre left), excellent examples of Littlefish’s Promote from Within policy.
Emma Maraio, Littlefish Head of Talent, said “It’s an honour to win the Commitment to People Development Award. At Littlefish, our staff are our greatest asset, and we put people at the heart of everything we do, from our in-house training Academy and professional development programmes, through to our exceptional employee facilities and perks, regular socials including our annual summer BBQs, and our staff reward and engagement schemes.”
She continued. “Our people, their wellbeing and development are our greatest priorities, so we are delighted to receive this recognition. This award celebrates the fantastic opportunities on offer to Littlefish employees, and signifies another milestone on our journey to be recognised as Nottingham’s most sought-after employer.”
