The Role

Littlefish are looking for a Facilities & Maintenance Assistant to support the day to day running of our Nottingham HQ, by ordering necessary stock for day to day office operations, and ensuring maintenance issues are dealt with promptly, through hands-on basic maintenance for small works or through instructing a contractor for larger works.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Diagnose issues with the facilities and buildings and carrying out maintenance yourself where practicable. For more complex issues, liaising with contractors
  • Hands-on basic maintenance – adjusting desks/chairs/monitors, assembling furniture, painting, etc.
  • Ordering beverages, office catering and consumables, cleaning products and other items from online or local companies.
  • Liaising with contracted vendors for fire extinguisher renewals, Zip & Billi Taps, Air freshener units, vending machine maintenance.
  • Work with current waste disposal providers to find innovative recycling solutions
  • Lead a project to implement recycling across all sites.
  • Liaison between Littlefish and Managing Agent.
  • Work alongside Health and Safety, First Aiders and Fire Marshals to ensure the site is fit for purpose and that basic risk assessments are up to date.
  • Work across all Littlefish sites in the UK where required

 

Essential Skills / Knowledge / Experience

  • English and Maths GCSE
  • Prior experience demonstrated in a similar role
  • Comfortable with hands-on
  • maintenance for small works such as painting, blockages and DIY/assembly/adjustments.
  • Good standard of written and verbal communication
  • Organised and calm under pressure
  • Can manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Excellent internal customer service skills
  • Solid basic IT skills – knowledge of Word and Outlook.
  • Awareness and understanding of Health & Safety and regulations pertaining to Mechanical & Electrical work.
  • Full UK driving licence

 

Desirable Skills / Knowledge / Experience

  • PAT testing
  • Level 3 diploma in electrotechnical services

 

Essential Security Checks

  • Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) pre-employment checks
