The Role

Littlefish are seeking a Finance Administrator to join our growing finance team to support the Finance function by processing invoices, credit control and account reconciliations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accounts receivable
    • Sales invoicing
    • Posting cash receipts
    • Credit control
  • Accounts payable
    • Invoice processing
    • Preparing supplier payment proposal
    • Processing supplier payments
    • Reconciling supplier statements
    • Processing expense payments
  • Bank & credit card reconciliations
  • Nominal ledger journal entries
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Margin analysis

 

Essential Experience

  • Working as a Finance Administrator for a minimum of 2 years

 

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Intermediate Excel skills (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, particularly with experience of credit control discussions with customers
  • Fundamental understanding of sales and purchase VAT
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Able to manage time and work under tight deadlines.
  • Able to manage the demands of a number of tasks and understanding of when to seek direction and escalate
  • Able to work on their own initiative and within a team environment

 

Essential Education & Qualifications

  • English GCSE
  • Maths GCSE
  • AAT level 2

Desirable Education & Qualifications

  • A Levels
  • AAT level 3

 

Essential Security Checks

  • Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) pre-employment checks
