The Role

Littlefish are seeking an IT Infrastructure Team Leader to successfully manage a team of Infrastructure engineers across multiple sites who provide remote technical support to Littlefish contract customers, for server, network Infrastructure and desktop/laptop issues.

You will report in to the Head of Infrastructure and we expect that you will spend approximately 75% of your time on team management and 25% on more technical internal and external stakeholder liaison, to include supporting Change Advisory Boards, Customer Transitions and general Projects from an infrastructure standpoint and involvement with customer and problem management technical issues.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • The day to day management of a team of infrastructure and operations engineers who provide high level technical support services to Littlefish contract customers.
  • Monitoring workloads and performance against SLA and KPIs
  • To prioritize, assign and monitor progress to resolve for technical queries and service requests assigned to individuals in your team, in accordance with standard and customer specific service level agreements
  • Participating in transition and project meetings to provide technical input
  • General team management, carry out 1:1 meetings, create development plans, carry out disciplinary processes were necessary, recruitment and selection.
  • Working with the SMO and SDM on Incident, Problem and Change management
  • Act as a managerial/technical escalation for Customers, Service Manager, Service Desk Manager on escalated issues
  • Assist with the creation/completion of technical documentation (service transition, wiki updates, knowledge base, known error database)
  • Participate in change control both for our customers and internally
  • Creating and maintaining a culture of high performance in the team
  • Attending CAB meeting and representing change requests
  • Participating in transition and project meetings to provide technical input
  • Working with Professional Services during acceptance into live support


Essential Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Three years minimum experience in a similar role
  • Working knowledge of MS platforms with focus on SCCM, Intune, AD and Windows networking up to enterprise class.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in an ITIL process environment
  • Working with service management tools to manage changes, incidents, problems and requests
  • Ability to create and maintain a high performing culture within a team
  • 5+ years working in a MS server/ AD environment
  • Team leadership – knowledge of HR policies, processes and procedures.
  • Windows server, AD, SCCM, networking LANs and WANs, (switches and firewalls), backup technologies.
  • Able to work autonomously as a manager
  • Understand the business landscape to enable them to quickly identify, prioritise and escalate issues where needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Good customer facing skills
  • Be comfortable working under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Able to manage the demands of numerous tasks
  • Self-motivator and able to motivate others
  • Diplomatic when faced with issues
