Nottingham headquartered Global Managed IT Services Provider Littlefish have been awarded the coveted Sunday Times Best Companies 1* Star Accreditation, recognising ‘very good’ levels of employee engagement, improving on the company’s ‘One to Watch’ awards from the last two years.

Littlefish received the 1* Star accreditation award from Best Companies, the specialists whose recognition programme is the standard for workplace engagement. The 1* Star Accreditation was awarded to Littlefish for its Best Companies Index score from the Best Companies employee survey, which measures how engaged people are at work and how they feel about their employer.

Tried, tested and well-respected, Best Companies apply a rigorous, academic methodology, based on 8 common factors that gets to the heart of what people want and expect from their working lives. These factors include Wellbeing; Leadership; My Team; Personal Growth and Fair Deal.

The award underlines Littlefish’s ethos of promoting workplace engagement and evidences the fact that the organisation’s #PeopleMatter philosophy is not just a brand statement, but a ’lived and breathed’ experience.

Littlefish continues to be at the forefront of people-centricity in the workplace, helping it meet long-term business objectives and create employment and career progression opportunities through sustainable growth. This purpose is highlighted through numerous staff engagement programmes including the Best Companies survey; our recent appointment of a Chief People Officer; the re-launch of the Littlefish Academy which offers employees the opportunity to achieve industry recognised accreditations, rewarded with increased earnings; a vibrant and relaxed workplace; and an internal first policy for new roles that has seen a large number of internal promotions in recent months.

The result is a highly motivated, knowledgeable and engaged team, and Littlefish establishing itself as a sought-after employer in the IT marketplace, distinguishing itself as a Giant Slayer in a marketplace dominated by ‘usual suspect’ global IT outsourcers.

Littlefish CEO Steve Robinson said, “Our people continue to be our greatest asset and we recognise they are a crucial part of our ongoing success. Ensuring an inspiring working environment is created is tremendously important, because Littlefish knows that happy employees create happy customers, and longevity in turn enables stable business growth and an ever-increasing reputation within the marketplace and the UK.”

Jonathan Austin, CEO & Founder of Best Companies said “I would like to congratulate Littlefish on their 1* Star Accreditation. Best Companies have been producing the accreditation standard since 2006 to acknowledge excellence in the workplace. Organisations like Littlefish have continued to focus on their employees and have been rewarded with an engaged workforce who tell us that this is a best company to work for.”
