What is a Microsoft modern workplace?

A Microsoft modern workplace is a cloud-based working environment built on the Microsoft 365 stack – Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, OneDrive, Viva and the broader Office suite – with identity and access managed through Azure Active Directory and devices managed through Microsoft Intune.

We configure and deploy these environments to match your organisation’s operational structure, regulatory requirements and risk appetite, including governance policies, conditional access, data classification and device management. As a Microsoft Solutions Partner with six specialisations, our experts have the technical capability to create a secure, scalable platform for long-term digital transformation.

Our modern workplace services

modern workplace consultancy

Modern workplace consulting and strategy

We assess your current Microsoft environment against your operational and compliance requirements, identify gaps in configuration, licensing and security posture, and produce a costed roadmap covering tenant architecture, identity and access policy design, information governance and application rationalisation.

deployment

Deployment, configuration and migration

We deploy and configure the full Microsoft 365 stack, from tenant setup and conditional access policy configuration through to Exchange Online migration, SharePoint site architecture and Teams governance. Where workloads are moving  from on-premise or legacy infrastructure, we also manage transition.

end user support

Ongoing end user computing support

Once your environment is live, your devices and applications still need managing. Our end user computing services team handles device provisioning through Windows Autopilot, patch management, application packaging, security policy enforcement and compliance monitoring across your device estate.

What’s holding your modern workplace back?

  • Digital Solutions Modern Workplace 1 Icon

Hybrid work without a clear strategy

Supporting office, remote and mobile workers from the same environment requires properly configured conditional access policies, endpoint management and device provisioning. A modern workplace standardises security and collaboration across locations, devices and user groups so IT isn’t managing exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Digital Solutions Modern Workplace 2 Icon

    Cyber security and compliance risk

Unmanaged devices, misconfigured sharing policies and unsecured connections all introduce risk. A modern workplace built on Microsoft’s security stack embeds identity controls, data loss prevention and monitoring into the environment, supporting compliance with Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001 and GDPR without restricting how staff work.

  • Digital Solutions Modern Workplace 3 Icon

    Legacy estates and disconnected tooling

Adopting cloud platforms alongside existing on-premise infrastructure and legacy applications often create inconsistent authentication, fragmented data and IT resource consumed by integration maintenance rather than service improvement. A modern workplace consolidates that into a single, properly governed Microsoft environment through structured tenant assessment and phased migration.
