Supporting Staff

Training and Development

Littlefish is investing in specialist training and skills opportunities for employees through:
Our employees complete mandatory training when joining the business and these all are refreshed every 12 months. Subjects covered, Tackling Modern Slavery, Unconscious Bias, Environmental Awareness, Keeping Information Secure, Preventing a Data Breach and Promoting Diversity. Additionally, team leaders and managers are given Neurodiversity training to help them help their teams to flourish.
The Littlefish Academy (TLA) is a structured learning and development program for employees. It aims to enhance their technical skills, improve customer service quality, and boost earning potential. Completing academy programs enables employees to earn more money. Currently, nearly half of all employees are enrolled in the LF Academy.
Centrical is our gamification platform which uses real time employee performance data to provide instant feedback on goals and performance, ensuring service desk engineers have clear goals that are aligned to business goals, and they are rewarded based on performance against their targets. Rewards are chosen by the employee and offer a combination of extrinsic (money, time off) and intrinsic (study time, development opportunities).
Staff can help themselves to free breakfast and fruit every day at our offices and free “Pizza Friday” on the last Friday of the month. As well as access to: • Employee Health Plan • Employee Assistance Programme • “Bike2work” bike purchase scheme • Fully paid-for city centre bike parking at a nearby secure car park • Discounted tram and bus passes
Benefiting Communities
At Littlefish, we believe in making a positive impact on the community by actively supporting charitable organizations. We recognize that our business has the power to create meaningful change, and we are dedicated to leveraging our resources for the betterment of society.
Through our support of charities, we contribute to various causes that address critical societal needs.
In 2023 Littlefish have committed to ongoing Volunteer days to support the Canal & Rivers Trust with maintenance of canal paths and banks.
We support our charity of the year through direct financial donations.
To minimize landfill waste, we donate our old laptops and electronic items to WEEE Charity. They recycle and sell these items, while also providing training opportunities to unemployed individuals, those with disabilities, or learning difficulties.
To help improve health and wellbeing, we provide unlimited fresh fruit for our staff. For every fruit basket we buy - Fruitful plant one fruit tree. This helps to mitigate the effects of global warming and deforestation and provides an income to support local communities in Malawi, Africa.
Supporting local services
Littlefish is dedicated to making a positive impact on local communities by actively participating in initiatives that support charity support services. One of the ways we accomplish this is by organizing collections and facilitating food donations. We firmly believe in the power of collective effort and the difference it can make in the lives of those in need.
St Ann's and Sneinton Food Store provides emergency food assistance to individuals and families in need. Littlefish supports the food bank by donating breakfast food, ensuring that those facing food insecurity have access to a nutritious start to their day.
Emmanuel House Nottingham is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering individuals facing homelessness, poverty, and social exclusion. Located in Nottingham, this vital community resource provides a range of services and assistance to help those in need rebuild their lives.
